Dr Aarti Parmar
Dr Aarti Parmar has a track record of clinical research expertise in pharmaceuticals and academia, and is passionate about the collaborative nature of the bench to bedside approach for evidence-based medical advances.
Aarti is an Honorary Fellow at the University of Leicester, from where she received her doctorate in 2013 in Respiratory Sciences investigating tissue biomarkers of Severe Asthma, and continued her research as a postdoc. Aarti has extensive experience in Leicester BRC’s research and enterprise activity with a particular interest in clinical trials. Prior to her position as BRC Manager, Aarti was the research Programme Manager for our NIHR/MRC funded PHOSP-COVID Study which involved overseeing collaborations between 26 Universities and 83 NHS Trusts across the UK.
Aarti oversees the management team across the BRC themes and cross cutting theme. She works closely with colleagues to ensure delivery of our strategic aims, and develops and implements plans for the BRC to reflect local and national strategy.
