Teams from across the Leicester BRC celebrated Red 4 Research this week, a campaign that aims to get as many people as possible wearing red to demonstrate their support and appreciation for all those participating, undertaking and supporting research.
Teams across our Themes based at University Hospitals of Leicester were given seed paper hearts as a gift of appreciation, allowing them to sow wildflower meadows at home.
‘From a seed a meadow, a trial a treatment.‘
Professor Melanie Davies, Director of the NIHR Leicester BRC, said:
“It’s wonderful to see everyone coming together for Red 4 Research this year.
We all know that research is a truly collective practice, so seeing colleagues celebrating together today for photographs and celebrations of our work is very special.”
Dr Aarti Parmar, Manager of the NIHR Leicester BRC added:
“Within the NIHR Leicester BRC, every person, in every role, is an unwavering force driving research forward. Their relentless dedication to improving lives and uplifting our community is invaluable and it’s great to see so many taking part in the red4reserarch pictures!”
