- Phase II trials- severe asthma, COPD, Interstitial lung disease, bronchiectasis, pleural disease and chronic cough (Lead NIHR TRC)
- Research bronchoscopy- dedicated research bronchoscopy specialist nurses and suite
- Exhaled biomarkers- National MRC/EPSRC Breathomics Centre (Molecular Pathology Node) includes the measurement of FeNO and volatile organic compounds – see also EMBER
- Disease models:
- Ex vivo human models: epithelial cell air-liquid interface models, whole endobronchial biopsy models and primary cell cultures)
- In vitro human lung slice model
- Imaging:
- Lung imaging CT and MRI
- Coordinating centre for imaging studies for EU-FP7, IMI, MRC and industry to undertake quantitative analysis and computational flow modelling
